Welcome to the Autumn Term 2009.
Our new whole school theme is: "Llanrhidian School - 100 Years Young!"
What's On? P.E. ...will take place in Llanrhidian village hall every other Friday. (11th and 25th September, 9th and 23rd October.) Don't forget your kits!
Centenary Celebrations Well done to everyone who took part in the centenary celebrations on Friday. The singing was fantastic and I was very proud of you all. The costumes were amazing and I have got some lovely photographs to show you.
Snowflake and Zebra Crossing Our new additions to the classroom (Our guinea pigs) will be needing a home for the half term holiday. If you would like to take them home then please let Mrs Evans, Mrs Morgan or Steph know!

We plan our day so the children can spend as much time as possible outdoors. We go out in all weathers - even when it's raining! It's vitally important that the children come to school every day with suitable outdoor clothing. All children also need a spare set of clothes left on their pegs in a clearly labelled bag.
Painting Phonics
Numbers The children use the pebbles to make numbers and also during a dice game
Learning new words
The children are racing on their bikes to find the words to match their sentences.

The Children love to work on play dough table. We often use the dough to help the children learn numbers and letters. If you would like to reinforce this at home try out the link below for a good playdough recipe

Phonic games
An Introduction to letter sounds Each week we have a phonic focus. The children are invited to bring in an item for the sound table. We use the objects from the table for phonic games and activities.
